The leaves have started turning, cool winds are blowing and we woke up to frost today. My heart is drawn to nature, I feel most connected anytime I am in her presence. Every morning I walk my chocolate lab Molly and what ever season-I turn to the trees. To me they represent the importance of being grounded or rooted in life. They have strength and wisdom that we can all learn from. I mean we have all had a tremendous year thus far, am I right? It almost feels like it is too much.
So I choose to be like a Tree...
In many areas of the world, the trees leaves are now changing to radiant colors of red, orange and yellow. It is a time of transition. The trees will soon release their leaves as a natural response to the changing earth cycle. The trees are preparing for winter and in turn begin to conserve their energy as a strategy to survive the harsher conditions ahead. This shedding of the leaves may also help trees to pollinate in the coming spring.
What a beautiful lesson we can learn from the trees. When times get tough, they don’t give up or wither away. Instead, they “go with the flow” of Mother Nature for the next cycle of their life. We too have cycles and now is a great time to release what no longer is serving you.
This is your life and your journey-YOU are responsible for it. So if you have too much on your plate or not satisfied with how your world appears, make the necessary changes.
We need to clear space for new beginnings, new growth.
I have learned that I need to be committed to myself and my life to make the necessary changes for growth. Here is what I am doing, it may benefit you as well:)
First step is to acknowledge what it is that needs to be released. Take some time in quiet contemplation or even journaling and prepare for your next cycle. Review your life as it is now.
What are your desires for the future? What in your life is no longer useful or needed in your emerging self? This may include unhealthy relationships, a career you are unfulfilled in, bad habits or even material possessions.
The second step is to devise your plan of action. Are there steps you need to take prior or during the process? These action steps will be variable according to “what” it is your releasing. I would stick to 3-5 action steps-if you have too many-you will overwhelm and give up.
Make a “to do” list if you will and add time frames in which you hope to accomplish each of your steps. Do not get discouraged if you do not meet your completion date-simply continue to take action and trust the process. Use conscious language if you have not met a goal by a certain date, it just hasn't happened, yet.
The third step is to actively work on your action steps, revise if need be. Taking action is the most important step in making changes to truly live a life you love.
So remember: Commit to yourself, take action steps and Release the unneeded. You’ve got this!
Begin to let go and trust the process. This can be a slow process (depending on what you are releasing), takes determination and often hard work but that is OK.
Releasing those “things” in your life that are no longer serving you can be such a liberating feeling. You feel lighter, a sense of relief and you are creating space for inner peace, self-love and growth.
Just think how much you could grow by spring!!
While, you are releasing things that no longer serve you, have you thought about the products you use in your home?
Health and wellness is on the rise, especially now. Many products are being advertised as “safe” and “all-natural”, but are they really all that safe? The packages are pretty and the labels are clever, but the more you dig, the more you find out. This class will help you decide what’s truly safe and give you the tools you need to start making simple swaps for a healthier home.
When you are doing your Fall clean-out and releasing things you no longer need, I encourage you to hop over to my Facebook class on Creating a Healthy Home. I thing this is a powerful one that everyone should check out. No worries-no live zooms-I don't care if you are in your PJ's -no judgement here. But I do feel this is an important topic and should be a priority on your agenda.
This is a Facebook posting class Tuesday 9/22 starting at 6pm. I will leave the class up for one week for your convenience. I will be choosing winners from who attend and interact by commenting on the posts-so I would love for you to join me.
Got Kids in YOUR life? Great News...Young Living has just created a Little Oilers starter set just for them!
Some people call me “crunchy” But really, I’m just conscious about what I use on my kids...Let me show you how we use these oils in our home...Maybe people think you are "over the top" too...those are OUR babies and we want nothing but the best for them!
First of all, the KidScents line of oils are already diluted and safe for kids age two and up( yes that includes us adults too).
GeneYus is an excellent blend of powerhouse oils to diffuse for young minds that are focusing and concentrating on projects. This is what goes in the diffuser every school morning since the kids have been virtually learning. Test days when Holly would go to school-we would run this on the back of her neck.
Owie...yeah cause life happens😂 and not gonna lie I have used this one too..have you seen me with a hammer?? Has oils like ..Idaho balsam fir, tea tree, helichrysum, Clove..soooo good for skin.
So this one is a dream come true .. I mean with a combo of oils like...Lavender, geranium, Roman chamomile, Valarian, bergamot and rue..
Leading up to the start of school , Holly has been having a rough time with settling her mind down at bedtime. So we started rubbing this in her feet and putting it in the diffuser at night. #sweetdreams
Created with oils like Eucalyptus lavender peppermint Ravensara...came in handy the first day of school for Tyler..🤦🏽♀️ we have a aroma glide on this baby (turns into a roll on) and he applied this to his chest-great chemical free chest rub. #breathwork
A combo of Spearmint, peppermint, anise, fennel, ginger...perfect for rubbing on little tummies and totally smells delicious!
Feather the owl diffuser is so super cute! Tyler adores his(he is a big animal lover anyway -he is planning on having his own zoo someday you know LOL we keep it right in his bedroom and fill it every night! Easiest way to use oils! This exclusive, custom-designed ultrasonic diffuser functions as a humidifier, aroma diffuser, night-light, and white-noise machine—owl in one! #Brilliant
And they just released a NEW one called KidsPower and I heard it smells magical ....soooo I just ordered it for Holly because she has been using my valor to face all the scary stuff ... talking in front of class, singing and acting on stage.. and this new blend has all the oils in valor and a few delicious smelling additions.. #warriorprincess
So why do I choose to use Young Living essential oils? Because they are made of plants, no toxins, no yuk... just plants.
Call me crunchy but if I can teach my kids to choose organic, meditate, read labels, think for themselves and make healthy choices to care for themselves ...then I’m going to use nothing but the best, truly natural products I can to support their holistic wellness, one drop at a time.
If you want to keep your kids happy and healthy and are not yet a Young Living Member...
